Whitman Academy
Is licensed by the Ministry of Education as a school for foreign students.
Whitman Academy is more than a school — it is a vibrant, international community where faith, excellence, and creativity come together. We provide quality Christian education for English‑speaking students from diverse backgrounds, nurturing both academic achievement and character development. Our mission is to inspire servant leadership, cultivate compassion, and prepare students to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Roy & Dora Whitman Academy
In 1994, God brought together three expatriate families with children in kindergarten through 6th grade, along with an experienced, certified American teacher. These families shared a vision: to create a school that offered quality Christian education for their Third Culture Kids (TCKs). They dreamed of classrooms filled with creative, hands‑on learning and opportunities for servant leadership that would shape young hearts to impact the world.
That vision became the foundation of Whitman Academy. What began with a handful of children has grown into a thriving body of 239 students from grades 1–12, representing more than 22 different countries. Today, Whitman Academy stands as a testimony to faith, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence — a place where students are empowered to learn, lead, and serve across cultures.
From humble beginnings to a thriving global academy.
Whitman Academy welcomes children from all cultural backgrounds. The multinational atmosphere stimulates greater understanding and compassion for all individuals and fosters a global perspective in the students. The school was originally founded to serve the educational needs of Christian expatriates who have come to Jordan in service capacities or as language students; therefore enrollment priority is given to these children.
Mission
Whitman Academy exists to support Kingdom work in Jordan by providing an excellent Christian education in English to Third Culture Kids through inspired learning and guided opportunities in servant leadership.
Vision
Whitman Academy aims to produce well-educated, globally-minded disciples, transformed by the Gospel with a heart for people’s physical and spiritual needs and the ambition to make a difference for the Kingdom of God.
